Favorite Christmas Gifts I Got This Year
Happy last week of 2017!
Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! But most importantly, hope you've all received gifts you like! Lucky me got a few unexpected gifts this year and I’d like to share my favorites with you! Perhaps you can keep these in mind for future reference? You never know.
Monogrammed Box Bag by The Daily Edited
I only recently became aware of the brand The Daily Edited when they set up a pop-up shop in Saks Fifth Avenue. I remember stopping to check out the pop-up corner because of the adorable set-up with a nice display cute products.
The Australian fashion brand specializes in quality monogrammable leather goods. The designs are classic and chic, and products are marked at a good price point. Please note: This is NOT a sponsored post!
This Christmas, I received a personalized navy leather box bag with my initials stamped on the front in gold. It’s one of my favorite gifts because it is so unique, functional and in-trend! I’ve been using it every day already, and to be honest, this is the one gift I didn’t wait until Christmas Day to open (hehe). I've also gotten gazillion compliments on it every time I'm out!
Sony's E 50mm F/1.8 OSS Lens
I have one of Sony's entry-level A-series cameras and I generally use it when I travel and when I take still shots. I'm nothing close to a professional photographer, but I definitely love being able to record my journeys and take my own photos.
Since I got the camera, I've been using the standard lens that came with and it’s been great but this lens I got for Christmas really adds depth to my photos! The lens' wide f/1.8 maximum aperture and optical image stabilization together allow me to shoot in dim light. Now that there are fewer hours of daylight in the winter, this is perfect.
This gift was actually on my wishlist. I love it because it is something extremely practical; I will be able to use it both leisurely and professionally!
Perfume from Jo Malone London
The Jo Malone perfume in the English Pear & Freesia scent is also one of my favorite gifts I've received this year. Mostly because I have always been a fan of this scent, although I've only previously had it in the candle version.
The fact that it is in the 30ml bottle makes it a perfect choice to travel with. It fits into my bag easily without adding too much weight.
Ugly Christmas Sweaters
The ugly Christmas Star Wars sweaters made it to this list simply because it gave everyone a good laugh. My husband’s sweater has Darth Vader on it and it actually lights up when he moves. It was silly but fun, and they looked great in photos. My sweater was red with R2D2 on it. Fortunately, it didn't have LED lights on them.
